    2014 / Santa Ynez Valley

    A combination of both tank and barrel fermentations that are aged in neutral barrels. We source our fruit from three vineyards in Happy Canyon called Grassini, McGinley, and Star Lane. Varying soils of sand, shale and gravel at Star Lane and heavier clays with larger yellow and red chert, and serpentine rocks at both McGinley and Grassini. $25/btl

    2013 McGinley Vineyard
    Simply a selection of our favorite barrels in the cellar. The goal was to create a wine of delicacy that would also have the best opportunity to age. Soils at McGinley consist of varying levels of clay and loam with red and gold chert, serpentine, and shale. $36/btl

    2013 Grassini Family Vineyard
    Again a selection of our favorite barrels from this great vineyard site back in Happy Canyon. Grassini sits a bit lower in the canyon making it later to ripen and grows on the heaviest soils, mostly of clay loam, that we work with. $36/btl

    2013 / Santa Ynez Valley

    From a very sandy vineyard site just to the west of the Sta. Rita Hills and farmed biodynamically, this pinot noir was fermented whole cluster for about two weeks before being pressed. It was then taken down to neutral barrel and rested on it’s lees for almost a year before being racked to tank, filtered, and bottled. With such a large influence of whole cluster in the wine, the aromatics show lots of wild cherry, rose petals and clove. Similar notes show on the palate with vibrant red fruit flavors, great acidity and balance.

    A saignée of Pinot Noir from various sites in Santa Barbara County. Tank fermented and then left in neutral barrels for 5 months before being racked back out to tank and bottled.

    From old chenin vines planted in the early 80’s on very sandy soils in the Foxen Canyon district of the Santa Ynez Valley. Tank fermented, then transferred to neutral wood for the winter. Then racked to tank for a few months prior to bottling.

    From multiple blocks in the Star Lane vineyard. The wine fermented retaining the whole cluster and once pressed is then transferred to neutral barrels for the winter. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, we quickly rack the wine back to tank and bottle to retain the natural Co2 present in the wine to keep it fresh. $30/btl
